WNCSupplies: Restoring Hope After hurricane helene
aBOUT uS
At WNC Supplies, we are committed to delivering critical aid to the communities of Western North Carolina impacted by Hurricane Helene. From the larger donation centers in Asheville to remote towns like Pensacola, NC, we work tirelessly to ensure essential supplies—generators, heaters, propane, PPE, and more—reach those in need. Our network of dedicated volunteers helps us act swiftly and adapt to the rapidly changing demands of the region.
For example, we recently responded to an urgent request from coordinators in Marshall, NC, for Tyvek suits, PPE, respirators, boots, and chemical gloves. Over a few days, we were able to locate these items and deliver cases to the area. At the same time, we took overstocked supplies from Marshall and redirected them to another community that needed them. This flexibility and responsiveness define our approach, but the need for more volunteers and vehicles remains urgent to ensure that supplies get to where they are needed most, as quickly as possible.
Our Promise
We promise to stand by the communities of Western North Carolina, providing swift, reliable aid when and where it’s needed most. Whether working with larger organizations in Asheville or delivering supplies to isolated towns, we ensure that no request goes unmet. With a proven track record of adapting to evolving needs, our dedicated volunteers and commitment to action allow us to make a tangible difference, even in the most challenging conditions.
Our Mission
Our mission is to support the recovery of Western North Carolina’s communities, ensuring they receive the supplies and aid they need in the wake of disasters like Hurricane Helene. From urgent requests like the Tyvek suits and PPE in Marshall, NC, to redistributing overstocked supplies to other areas in need, we remain flexible and responsive to the ever-changing needs of the region. Through the continued support of donors and volunteers, we aim to grow our capacity to help now and into the future.
Our Service Area
We serve the communities of Western North Carolina, focusing on both larger areas in the Greater Asheville region and remote towns like Pensacola and Marshall, NC. We are actively involved in moving supplies from major donation centers to isolated areas that are difficult to access by larger vehicles. As needs continue to evolve, our goal is to expand our volunteer network and increase our capacity to deliver aid swiftly and effectively.
